We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
If we understand holiness properly, as the possibility of growing indefinitely in love for God and our brothers and sisters, we can be certain that nothing will be beyond our reach” – Jacques Philippe
I am currently a third year missionary and serving as assistant team director at the University of Texas – Austin! Hook ’em!
I started college with a great desire to know Jesus and to learn and grow in my Catholic faith, but freshman year I was left alone and confused. The presence of missionaries on campus my sophomore year radically changed my entire college experience. Through bible studies, discipleship, and just living in community with them, I was finally given guidance on how to pursue a relationship with Christ. They pushed me to encounter God in daily personal prayer and take full advantage of the sacraments. Through these commitments, I was able to come to know Christ more intimately than I could’ve imagined. I found peace, solace, and joy in this blossoming relationship which completely counteracted the emptiness and abandonment that college had brought.
Because of this experience, I could not say no to the calling to be a missionary. God has clearly crafted my heart for mission, specifically on the college campus. I have experienced first hand the loneliness, confusion, and complete unknown that college brings and I want so badly to show other students that there is an answer to those longings. I am so excited to spend my time with FOCUS growing deeper in relationship with Christ and walking with students to do the same.
This is the Bible study that I was able to lead in college with women in my sorority! It provided a space to truly study God’s word and get to know each other personally and authentically. These women are some of my most treasured friends from college simply because of their yes to being a part of this study!
Above are some of the women in my bible studies at UT! I have loved growing in friendship with them and challenging them in their faith my first year and look forward to serving them again this year!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
