After serving for 8 years as missionaries on campus at Virginia Tech, Andrew is in his 3rd year on the Digital Outreach team, currently serving as the Digital Campus Team Manager. He and his wife (Carmen) continue to reside in Blacksburg, VA, and have five children: Joseph (8), Xavier (6), Maria Cecilia (4), Carmen Josefina (3), & Cristina Rosa (1). Being on mission as a family has both its blessings and its challenges, however we find that the Lord uses everything that we put at His service and love inviting students into our family life, in addition to the work Carmen and I do with individual and groups of students.

Carmen and I met at the Chapel at GMU in 2008 and began dating in 2011 after many years of developing a relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible studies, retreats, prayer and the sacraments. Through our life changing experiences offered through the campus ministry and FOCUS missionaries we encountered, we were led to a deeper conversion in our hearts in how our Lord was calling us to serve Him on mission. We were each called to different campus ministry/missionary work upon graduating in 2012, and as the Lord strengthened our dating relationship through distance, service to His Church, and our desire to help one another attain heaven, we discerned engagement, marriage, and to continue serving on mission on campus over the following years.

We desire to exemplify what it means to be a domestic Church for the world, existing primarily to grow in holiness as a family and invite the students we encounter to be transformed by the love of the Father, as exemplified the sacrifice of His Son Jesus on the cross for our salvation.

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
