The Lord has called me to serve at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire! This is the second year FOCUS has been present on this campus. I’m excited to share life with the students here and help them grow in relationship with the only One who can bring them the joy and peace they’re searching for. My teammates and I are ready to share the gospel and invite students to embrace their own call to mission!

I was baptized and raised Catholic, and when I left home to study at the Ohio State University I knew that I wanted to continue practicing my faith in college. Like many other students, I wasn’t prepared for the pressures and deceptions of college culture, and I found myself feeling lost and isolated. Thankfully, I found a community of Catholics who provided me with some respite from the confusion of campus norms. However, it wasn’t until FOCUS missionaries came to our campus that I actually began to desire to grow in my relationship with the Lord. They invited me into their lives and invested in me personally in a way that no one had before. Their faithfulness, conviction, and kindness inspired me. I wanted to love the way they did! They challenged me to prioritize my faith in a transformative way, and taught me how to lead others too. Soon, I was guiding other women on their faith journeys!

After graduating with my degree in English education, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to leave everything behind and follow Him as a campus missionary. It is truly humbling to be able to invite others to experience the wonder that is relationship with Jesus. God, in His goodness, can indeed use someone ordinary like me to do great things!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. I would not be able to do God’s work as a missionary without the support of wonderful people who choose to give of themselves to His mission alongside me.

“I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you, because of your partnership for the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3-5).
