After two years at Boise State University in Idaho, I am excited to be serving as the team director at the University of Oregon! My time here in the Pacific North West has been beautiful and exciting thus far, so I am thrilled to remain in this area. I love meeting many new students and spending time with them, especially making frequent trips to downtown coffee shops and local taco trucks.  Most of all, it has been a gift to share the joy of the Gospel here and be renewed by the simplicity and goodness of a life with Christ each time another student hears of His love for them.

When I was three years old, I planned out my whole life and that plan quickly fell apart.  Thankfully, Jesus had (and still has) a way better plan for me, filled with countless twists, turns, and adventures.  Though I have been blessed to be raised Catholic, the summer after my freshman year of high school brought me face to face with the reality that Christ did not die for all of us but for each of us, and that included me me with all my faults, sins, failings, weaknesses, and fears.  Despite all this, Jesus continually proved that He was trustworthy and that He not only wanted to provide for me but could and would provide for me.

 One very tangible way that God has provided for me throughout my life has been in friends and community that have encouraged me through their words and example to live my life for Christ.  The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone Jesus Himself gave us the Church!  I have realized, though, that my experience of joyful, faithful friendships is not the norm.  As a FOCUS missionary, I am excited not only to walk with women on the college campus, learning what it means to live fully alive in Christ together, but to help them uncover the way that the Gospel brings light to their own unique story.  Jesus Himself says, I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).  What a gift it is to invite college students into this fullness of life!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
