We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey! My name’s Ashley. I am pleased to say I am a FOCUS missionary, even better, a servant of Christ!
“just leave everything in the Sacred Heart and begin again with joy.” -St.Teresa of Calcutta
God has called me to serve college students, at U Mass Amherst!!! You’ll typically find me hanging out at the university cafe, or the Newman Center. I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life — I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me and I’d love to share it with you. 🙂
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. This will impact the world as they head out to future jobs and careers working with so many different people. I personally grew up protestant, practicing my faith, but not super intentionally. I did not have the most conventional family and home life. I went through some struggles early on that caused me to question my identity and worth.
However my senior year of high school I had a youth group leader, and friends in my life who loved me so well, that it was undeniably a love like Christ.
This led me to a desire to learn more about Christ and grow in relationship to Him. The Lord showed me my worth is not from myself, my works, or those around me, but rather my worth in in the fact that I am a beloved daughter. His love is perfect, and I am thrilled to experience it. I do not want to hide this for myself, but share His love with everyone, and help others find their worth and value in Him. Especially college students because this is the time they are formulating their thoughts and beliefs about themselves and the world.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
