We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“I am definitively loved, and whatever happens to me, I am awaited by this Love. And so, my life is good.” -St. Josephine Bakhita
God has called me to serve at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. UW-Platteville is full of students searching for God. I have the opportunity to invite them to encounter Him through Bible Study and Discipleship. I am excited to be working with many of the female athletes and teams on campus as a Varsity Catholic Missionary. Together, we will have the opportunity to recognize the way God wants to be present in every aspect of our lives. Whether it’s playing ultimate frisbee, sitting in one of Platteville’s coffee shops, or in the Newman Center, I hope to meet the students where they are, as they are.
My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. As a high school senior, I had the opportunity to attend a FOCUS conference after being invited by my brother. At this conference I found a love I hadn’t really experienced before and I realized Christ’s love was for me. I have come to realize that God has been pursuing me my whole life as He pursues all of us! I am so grateful to be learning to walk with God as He works miracles on the college campus.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, feel free to reach out to me at (585) 358-1011 or [email protected] I would be honored to partner with you!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
