We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey! My name’s Carolyn and I’m excited to be going into my second year at the University of Nebraska Omaha!
My first year serving in Omaha, Nebraska was such a blessing and great placement for me that I was thrilled to go back for year two! This year will look a little different however as I am the only missionary returning from my first year so I received four new teammates pictured below!
Along with this, Nebraska has a great Catholic community and FOCUS serves at many different campuses in the region. Many of the missionaries in said region are pictured below!
My conversion story has had lots of ups and downs that have lead me to where I am today. This first started when I was in the sacrament of confession and realized the love and forgiveness God has for me through the conversation I had with the priest in the confessional. After this, I continued to experience God’s redeeming love and joy through the authentic relationships I had with people who were rooted in Christ. I saw in these people the joy God had given them because they chose to live their life for Him. Because of this, God has instilled in me a desire to show others the joy and love that comes from living a life with Christ.
These authentic relationships with people rooted in Christ is what lead me to become a FOCUS missionary and now serve in Nebraska! Through everything God continues to lead me on this wonderful adventure of life and who am I to deny Him!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
