The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His Name. (Luke 1:49)

Where I serve

After serving my first year on staff at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), I’m thrilled to serve my second year at my alma mater, Baylor University! My relationship with Jesus Christ would not have been as transformative as it was without the Catholic community at Baylor; I’m honored to return that same gift and serve in this way! Call me anytime for a walk on campus by Pat Neff or a Common Grounds coffee date! 🙂

My Story

The Lord has patiently and passionately pursued me all throughout my life, but it was not until I started college at Baylor University that I began to encounter Him more deeply. But it began, as most encounters with Him do: in a thirst.

In the midst of my own struggle with perfectionism, very beloved friends of mine began to seek fulfillment in dark places that I knew wouldn’t satisfy them. I felt so agonizingly helpless; I didn’t know how to share with them that, down that road, they were never going to find what they were thirsting for.

It was in that season that the Lord shared with me His thirst for every heart. My ache for my friends was only a shadow of His desire for them. It was then that I realized how essential it is that each precious soul may come to know Jesus Christ—the only One Who will satisfy their thirst.

Then, the world shut down. So many empty churches, full of Tabernacles, and no one allowed to keep Jesus company or receive His Heart in the most Holy Eucharist. I realized my church was kept unlocked, so I sat with Jesus, day after day, pained at His loneliness. The priest, seeing me come in every day, opened the Tabernacle for me and allowed me to taste Heaven in a time when no one else could.

And it was in that season that the Lord showed me His thirst for my heart.

Through prayer, and the love of my husband, Michael, I will be eternally learning the depth of Jesus’ thirst for me and for other souls. But this is why I said yes to being a FOCUS missionary—every soul needs and deserves to know that their aching thirst will only be satisfied by encountering His thirst for their precious heart.

” It is He who first seeks us and asks us for a drink. Jesus thirsts; His asking arises from the depths of God’s desire for us. Whether we realize it or not, prayer is the encounter of God’s thirst with ours. God thirsts that we may thirst for Him.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2560)

Your Impact

As a FOCUS missionary, I have the opportunity to invite those in my life to join in this mission with me, both spiritually and financially. Your prayers are the greatest gift you can give to this mission; my students, our campus, my team, and FOCUS at large thanks you in advance for each one. Additionally, your financial gifts are how I can be fully present and able to give of myself to my students at Baylor. I would love to take you on campus with me! If you are interested in joining this  mission with me, please send me an email at [email protected] and we can find a time to chat.

I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, patroness of missions, please pray for us!
