Where I serve

I am so blessed to have this opportunity to be serving my first year with FOCUS at the University of Nebraska at Omaha! I am so excited to serve at my alma mater, and walk with students this year!

My Story

In high school, I was inspired by the joy my siblings experienced through the Newman center at UNO and first heard about FOCUS. As a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, I was formed and deeply loved by our JPII Newman community. I found true authentic men and woman who wanted to grow in their faith alongside me. I was fulfilled in the abundant life Christ desired for me. I experienced great growth in discipleship and loved getting to walk with other woman in the sacraments and at bible study. During my senior year my husband and I were walked with in discipleship by a FOCUS missionary couple. We were so blessed to get to prepare for marriage while also having a holy example to walk with in our day to day life.

The Newman center and FOCUS stayed in the forefront of my mind as I began a job as a staff accountant. I worked while continueing to be walked with in discipleship. It was during my morning prayers that I discerned the desires the Lord was placing on my heart. That my greatest desire is to walk with students as they discover their personal relationship with Christ and his church through the beauty of prayer and sacraments! I am so excited to follow the Lord’s call and bring Christ’s love to college students. To walk with them as they encounter the love that God has for each of them.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
