We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve college students specifically through FOCUS at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. I desire so deeply for every individual to come to know Jesus on a personal level, and commit their lives to Him. I’ve been so powerfully convicted of the need for missionaries and how important it is to invite others to join in the same mission that we are all called to partake in.
I was always a practicing Catholic. I grew up going to adoration, I went to Sunday Mass, prayed every day, and frequently was graced with the presence of the Pilgrim Virgin in my family home. I had always searched to have friends who loved the Lord and wanted to chase virtue in daily life. Although I had good relationships, none of them were as deep as I wanted them to be. This included my relationship with Jesus.
Growing up, my parents would tell me to talk to Jesus like a friend. They encouraged me to cultivate that personal relationship and tell Him my deepest fears and desires. However, I did not realize how deeply God was calling me to go in prayer and how much he thirsted for me to hold Him at the center of my life.
When it was time for college, I chose to stay in my hometown and attend Loras College. I was ready to dive deep into the faith and I was determined to avoid the unhealthy college culture. I found great friends who were rooted in Christ and wanted to invite me to let others know of the importance of the Gospel message. Although I was never sought out by a missionary, a friend of mine who was involved with FOCUS encouraged me to go deeper in prayer and glean a greater conviction to fight for the souls on Loras’ campus.
While in college, I attended SEEK 2017 as a sophomore. Hearing about the goodness of the Lord and watching others desire true surrender in worship was God’s way of inviting me to do the same and encounter Him deeply in prayer. It was then that my prayer began to mature and I started to take it really seriously. I allowed myself to be filled with the joy of Christ, and it sparked a desire to give my life entirely to Jesus.
It wasn’t until after college that I heard the Lord’s call for me to be a missionary. After graduation, I worked for a publishing company while participating in the young adult Catholic group for bible study and fellowship. Looking back, it was very evident that God needed me to work for a year and be present to others before saying yes to this ministry. I am so grateful that He opened my heart and gave me the graces to take the leap in trust to go make disciples of all nations!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. The mission would not be possible on the college campus without your help. It never ceases to amaze me that so many souls are saved through the generosity of my mission partners. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
