I am going to be serving college athletes at DePauw University. I’m so excited to rely solely on the Lord for my mission and love others intentionally the way that Jesus did with His disciples. This will be an epic time:)

I grew up a Cradle Catholic in Middleville, MI and everything changed when I was invited to join a choir at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. I internalized the hymns, and realized Jesus is present here and now, in every moment. I began reading Scripture and frequenting the Sacraments, inspired by the devout Christians around me. Through prayer, Scripture, the Catechism, and the Sacraments, I found immense peace and joy. I encountered Christ there, and have been getting to know and love Him more ever since:)

 During my four years at Hillsdale College, Jesus helped me set my priorities straight and brought me closer to His Sacred Heart. My relationship with God the Father inspired me to change my life and align it with the Church. In college I realized we are all called to be saints and strive after holiness daily, saying “yes” to God whenever He “interrupts” our plans. Flash forward to Spring 2022 – in all my potential job options, the only thing that filled me with joy was Catholic ministry. Luckily, a pretty random FOCUS missionary encouraged me to apply to FOCUS earlier in the year. Everything fell into place in a miraculous manner, despite the fact I applied to be a missionary a month late and FOCUS was not at my college. Since accepting the position in April 2022, I have found nothing but abounding peace in saying yes to FOCUS. Not only am I excited for this adventure, but thrilled to be an instrument of Christ in this corner of the world. I am hopeful to bring Christ, the source of everything, to some of the most motivated, curious, and busy people- college students.

When I answered God’s call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
