We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve at Winona State University in Winona, MN along side the good looking group of people below. Go Warriors!
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46
This verse pretty much sums up the first twenty years of my life.
Growing up, you could find me every Sunday in the fifth pew of Corpus Christi Church, next to my five siblings and two parents. Sunday after Sunday, I sat there calling Jesus “Lord,” but for the following six days of the week, I would completely forget about Him. Now don’t get me wrong, a part of me desperately wanted to do the things Jesus would say (Lk 6:46), but How could I when I didn’t know how to listen to Him? I spent years listening to the rules, listening to my religion teachers, and listening to my priests, but I never actually knew what it meant to listen to God.
The answer to this question came my sophomore year of college when I discovered that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily prayer. In finally choosing to make prayer a part of my daily life, it didn t take long before God the Father reminded me of my identity as His daughter. Renowned speaker Fr. Larry Richards says that every time we place ourselves in the presence of God in prayer, the first thing God the Father says to us– before we can say a word– is, You are my beloved son/daughter with whom I am well pleased (Mk 1:11). God spoke this over me and I listened. Every aspect of my life changed as a result.
Our world has forgotten the Father’s love and our identity as His sons and daughters; it’s up to you and me to remind them! If you are hesitant, know that this is the kind of message worth giving everything to. Don’t believe me? Scroll down.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
