We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Love alone gives worth to all things.” – St. Teresa of Avila
God has called me to serve college students at Coastal Carolina University! You’ll typically find me hanging out at the university cafe, the Newman Center, or jumping into sand volleyball games with students. I desire to be radically available to the students at CCU so that I can deeply invest in them and help foster deeper relationships with Christ!
As I began college at Western Kentucky University, I had a solid foundation of knowledge of my Catholic faith, but I did not know Christ. Sitting in the church pew at the first Sunday Mass, I found myself wrestling with unanswered questions — Why is my faith important to me? What role will it take in my life? When the FOCUS missionaries at my campus invited us into Bible Studies, I curiously signed up. I began a weekly Bible study with other Freshman girls who had similar walks of life and many of the same questions I did. The missionary who led our study was deeply invested in our hearts. That Bible study was the big turning point in my faith. As our missionary lead us deeper in pursuit of Scripture, knowledge, and community, my faith was no longer just a part of my life — but a lifestyle. It inspired me to attend SEEK conferences, enter into discipleship, and lead Bible studies of my own. After becoming more and more involved, I heard God calling me to be a FOCUS missionary and invite other college students into the life I had discovered! As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
