We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Walk with your feet on earth, but in your heart, be in Heaven.” -Saint John Bosco
After serving as a campus missionary at Assumption University in Massachusetts for two years, the Lord has called me to a deeper service to the mission of FOCUS on our national team. In this role, I will be with the FOCUS events team at the Denver Support Center in Colorado.
Growing up in a Catholic home and attending Catholic schools K-12, I was in constant awareness of who Jesus Christ was, but lacked awareness of His desire to have a lifelong relationship with me personally. And not only that but also with my family, teachers, classmates, friends, the person behind me in line for coffee, the mailman He desires to have a lifelong relationship with everyone. Through the development of Christ-centered friendships, fruitful formation centered on Scripture in bible study, and encountering Jesus in the sacraments, I began to grow deeper in this relationship with Christ. I also became more attentive to the realization that the students on my college campus were also lacking awareness of the lifelong relationship that Christ desires to have with them. In high school religion class we were required to memorize and verbally recite Matthew 28:18-20. At the time I did not fully realize why this was so important for us to learn. Now, it is the foundation for which I build my days upon and is the intention for why I have accepted the call to become a FOCUS missionary. Christ s love for us is lifelong and so is our call to mission.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
