The University of Toledo -Go Rockets!

At Franciscan University of Steubenville, I had the pleasure of growing in a relationship with a FOCUS missionary myself. Through my relationship with this FOCUS missionary that was serving at Franciscan, God granted me the grace to see the life of mediocrity I was living and how empty that life left me. Praise be to God, He called me out of that life, and is now sending me to share that mission with others. I have been incredibly blessed to see God working in my life and, although an uneasy one, the fulfilling path God is calling me to at this point in my life. I desire to share my story and the story of many others with the students I will encounter and teach them how to experience an intimate relationship with God.

Right now, there is a dire need to reach out to the youth, especially on college campuses around the world. A study shows that 80% of those who leave the Catholic faith leave before the age of 23. As a recent graduate who wrestled with the Catholic faith and had a hard time living the faith out in college because of the culture that is so present on campuses today, I desire to work with FOCUS and reach out to those students who are facing that same struggle today.

For the next two years, I will be serving at the University of Toledo in Ohio where my mission is to build relationships with the students, build them to be disciples through the gospel message and a relationship with Christ, and send them out into the world to be disciples for Christ.
