We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Your friends make known, O Lord, the glorious splendor of your kingdom.”
Psalm 125:12
The Lord has called me to serve at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri with my wonderful team!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all people into a deeper relationship with Christ. The Lord has put a deep conviction in my heart to be a witness to the good life; sharing life, joy, and the Gospel with everyone I meet.
So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.”
1 Thessalonians 2
In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to reach the whole world. His desire is to dwell with us, and our response is to build a home with Home. His home is our heart.
I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus and how one small interaction can change a life forever. Together we invest in and invite the students here to build a home for Jesus in their heart full of such captivating beauty that others desire to imitate it.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me on mission, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
