We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi! My name’s Joseph. I’m a FOCUS missionary serving at UCLA.
“Non nisi Te, Domine. Nothing but You, Lord.” -St. Thomas Aquinas
God has called me to serve the college students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for my first year as a missionary. You’ll typically find me riding my Onewheel, drinking boba, or praying the rosary around campus (if you’re lucky, I might be doing all three at the same time). I can’t wait to see how the Lord will work this upcoming year!
After graduating from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, I entered seminary formation through the generosity of the Diocese of Joliet and attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, OH and the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, IL. During these four years in the seminary, I encountered the Lord in a more intimate way, where I experienced a personal relationship with him through prayer and I lived in this newly discovered identity as a beloved son of our loving Father. Today, God has called me to serve as a FOCUS missionary, bringing the gospel to those thirsting for love and relationship that only Jesus Christ can provide us.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
