My wife Yazmin and I currently serve at Benedictine College! I will be entering my second year as Team Director and my fourth year overall as a Varsity Catholic missionary. Spending the first few years of our marriage has been such a blessing. It has allowed us to grow more intimately as spouses and allowed us to invest in a different way by opening our home and marriage to students who are searching to be loved and filled and often times do not understand what marriage is and calls for! Yazmin and I are entering our 4th year of marriage together.

Born in Southern California, Yazmin played soccer and graduated from the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. Leonard played football and graduated from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. It was in college where we both encountered Christ through a FOCUS missionary and the real friendship of another person that gave way to a life of missionary discipleship. We later met on a FOCUS mission trip to St. Lucia, where we became friends and where the pursuit of heaven and sainthood became our only desire in life.

We later discerned marriage after dating for several months and we got married in July of 2018. We just finished our first year of marriage serving as missionaries at the University of Oklahoma and now serve at Benedictine College. Our thirst for students to come to know Christ intimately and personally is greater than ever! We’d love to share more with you!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
