We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
Romans 10:14
God has called me to serve students at Texas A&M University-Kingsville! I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life — I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me and I’d love to share it with you. 🙂
I was blessed to grow up in the tiny town of LaMotte, Iowa where my Catholic family gave me the foundation of my faith. I attended Iowa State University to earn my undergraduate degree, then went on to Oklahoma State University where I graduated with my Master s degree in International Agriculture. I was on a quest to change the world!
I have always had a desire to serve others and create change in the world; that s why I pursued the degrees I did. After graduating with my Master s Degree, I was excited to spend a year in Uganda for a fellowship teaching agriculture. But, alas, the Lord had other plans. After months of waiting, the job was canceled. God wanted me to be in a different kind of fellowship!
My relationship with Christ grew in college through the friendship and loyalty of FOCUS missionaries, but it was during the 9 months of waiting and confusion for this job in Uganda that brought me to realize this deep desire to be on mission for the Lord. Going on mission in my hometown helped me realize that the surest way to change the world is through sharing the love of God. When I asked God to make it very clear to me what He wanted me to do, He asked me to be a FOCUS missionary and I said Yes!
It was in college where I both strayed the furthest from and came back to my relationship with Jesus. The Lord redeems! I recognize on a personal level the ache for freedom and identity… and how the world and our culture gives a skewed depiction of how to fulfill that ache. It is my desire to help bring young adults to the Lord by being a living witness to true freedom and identity in Jesus Christ.
“All are called to mission. Some give by going, others go by giving. Without both, there is no mission.” – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. Through generous people like you, I am able to dedicate myself full-time to the work of bringing students to Christ. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know! I would be incredibly honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
