I’m pumped that the Lord has called me to serve at South Dakota State University! I will be serving college students in Brookings, South Dakota and I can’t wait to meet you all. I would love to hear your story sometime, so come find me!

Wow has the Lord transformed my life, and He continues to do so! I was raised as a good Catholic girl who went to Mass every Sunday, who “knew” what it meant to be Catholic. But once I got into high school, I started to question if there wasn’t anything more to my faith life than going to weekly Mass. Looking back, I can see how Jesus was preparing my heart for more of Him. My junior year of high school I went on my first retreat and truly met Christ in Eucharistic adoration. That deep sense of being loved and seen by Him sparked a deep need in me to know Him more. However, I did not know how to go deeper in my faith by myself.

It was when I left for college that I truly found a community of supportive, fun, authentically Christian friends that I began to understand what it meant to have a relationship with Christ. I began attending a FOCUS Bible study, going to daily Mass, taking weekly holy hours in adoration, and tried fostering a daily prayer life. These were intensely transformative for me. And I never could have done this without the steadfast community that I had found.

It has been through the development of intentional relationships that I have come to learn how to see and love Christ in those around me. Coming to hear the Father’s voice has led me on wild adventures in ministry such as living in the Rocky Mountains and ministering to youth while living outdoors, serving on my campus ministry team, and now serving as a FOCUS missionary. The college years are some of the most formative years of our lives, 80% of people who leave the Catholic faith do so by the age of 23. Students today need to know the truth of the Father’s love for them and how they can find and live in the freedom of that love. In my position as a missionary I have the opportunity to share the Gospel with others and be a vessels of Christ’s love for the world! Will you join me on this mission?
