I am currently serving at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA! I get to meet students in their everyday lives, whether it’s grabbing lunch with them, playing some sand volleyball, or inviting them to a fun social event at our university’s Catholic student center.
Having been born and raised Catholic, I was fortunate enough to be instilled with knowledge of the faith at an early age. I understood that our faith was good and important, but what I didn’t quite receive was an example of what a relationship with Jesus looked like. I had this impression that God was this old dude in the clouds, arbitrarily watching down over us. I knew that He was a good God, and I knew He wanted what was good for all of us, but I didn’t think He’d want what was good for me.
Fast forward to my 3rd year of college – I attended a retreat at my university’s Catholic student center, in which I experienced a profound encounter with the Lord through the sacrament of Confession. It was through this encounter that the Lord revealed to me just how great His love and mercy is for me on an individual level. He was no longer just an old dude in the clouds who wanted what was good for us in general, but rather a loving father who sought me out personally to love and forgive me right where I was at.
After having encountered the Lord at this retreat, I sought to maintain this relationship that He had initiated for me by frequenting the sacraments and maintaining a consistent prayer life. I’ve also developed a strong desire to share this same love of Christ with others desiring for others to encounter the Lord just as I had encountered Him. My hope is to help college students become aware of the vast amount of love and mercy the Lord has for each one of them – inviting them to live in deeper relationship with Him and equipping them to help others do the same.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me using the contact info below and I will schedule an appointment with you. I’d be honored to share this mission with you!
