We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey y’all! My name’s Nathan. I’m a FOCUS missionary.
Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat! (Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands.)
God has called me to serve college students at the University of Kentucky. This will be my third school year on mission. I am a proud graduate of Ole Miss. You’ll can find me at the gym, playing football and volleyball, or meeting everyone on campus. I love sharing my story about how I encountered the person of Christ. Come find me and I’d love to tell you all about it.
I hail from Mississippi, where Catholicism is not very prevalent. Growing up, I didn’t know of the universality of Christ’s church on earth until I attended SEEK 2019 in Indianapolis. The evident passion that flowed through the hearts of my FOCUS missionary friends produced a metanoia – a change of desire – in my own heart. My life has not been the same since then. Now, I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I want to bring faithful college men, both Greek and non-Greek, to encounter the Sacred Heart of Christ.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I humbly invite others to invest their treasures of this world so that they can make a difference in the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
