God has called me to serve college students at UW-Oshkosh. I am a Varsity Catholic missionary and work with student-athletes. You’ll typically find me hanging out at the Newman Center, hammocking, and slacklining around campus or high-fiving people around campus. I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life — I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me and I’d love to share it with you. 🙂

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.

My sophomore year  of college I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip with Varsity Catholic. After returning I went to SLS. Those two experiences were key in deepening my faith. There are many reasons why I said yes to becoming a FOCUS missionary. From the example of the missionaries that I know, I have strived to improve my faith life. The missionaries continually pushed me to keep Christ at the center of my life. Because of how much the missionaries in my life have helped me I wanted to be able to help other students. I am drawn to the amazing opportunities FOCUS has to offer not only the students but also the missionaries. Going to the Dominican Republic changed my life in so many ways. This trip opened my eyes in ways I never would have thought. I formed friendships with the other students and missionaries that I still keep in touch with to this day. The many experiences I have had with FOCUS have put a desire in my heart to be a missionary. I want to be able to walk with students along the faith journey because I have had some challenges that lead me to be more active in my faith. I want to be able to share my story but also hear other people s stories. Years ago if you would have told me I d be a FOCUS missionary I would not believe you. However, with all of the wonderful opportunities that FOCUS offered me I have learned to be not afraid in everything that I do. Within the last year St. Pope John Paul s call to be not afraid has motivated me to go outside my comfort zone and be confident in my abilities to be a disciple of Christ.
