We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve college students. Specifically, He has called me to serve the students at South Dakota Mines in Rapid City, South Dakota! The last three years I served the Cadets at the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in New London, CT. I enjoy hanging out with students, getting to know them, leading them in Bible studies or walking with them like Jesus walked with His disciples! I look forward to returning to Mines for my fifth year, as I have loved making many friends and using my past experiences at an Engineering school myself to relate to students. I know the Lord will bless my time here and I hope He will continue to help me grow as a leader, discipler, and disciple.
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. What that looks like can vary, but I know God has placed me here for a reason, so I hope to use my experiences, both good and bad, to impact the lives of cadets here. God made us all for relationship, as He showed by sending His only Son to die on the cross for us. Not only did He make it personal by taking on humanity, but He had personal relationships with His disciples, especially investing in Peter, James, and John. In order to fulfill that mission He calls us to, I hope to invest my personal time into the cadets at USCGA by building relationships with them and teaching them how to have a relationship with God, as well as teaching them how to do the same both now at the academy and in the future when they go into the workforce.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you. If you would like to further your support of the mission God has called me to, referring me to friends and family who might be interested in joining this mission is one of the greatest ways of doing so.
