The Lord has generously invited me to walk with college students on their journey toward heaven at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. My mission is to invite students into a lifelong, intimate relationship with Christ, to help build them up through formation, and for these students to go out and share the Gospel with those they encounter.

My journey to FOCUS is less conventional than your typical missionary. I got my license in cosmetology and had been working in a salon in Muncie, IN for two years. In the fall of 2019 my life radically changed. I ended up at a fall outreach party that was being hosted by the Ball State University Newman Center. I remember the first time I had met the FOCUS missionaries. There was a different joy that lived within them. By the grace of God He gave me the energy to pray after long work days, say yes to participating and leading bible studies and discipleship groups, all while commuting an hour to and from the city each day. Choosing these activities and my relationship with the Lord in this way each and every day led me to discovering that the joy I had experienced in the missionaries was the same joy that was transforming me, joy that came from knowing and being known by Jesus Christ so incredibly intimately.

 This also led me to meeting my now fianc ! If I hadn’t been received with open arms by this community I would not be marrying the love of my life come this December. Through these events my fianc is now a first year missionary with FOCUS and we will be serving side by side and living out mission togehter through our Vocation. I know that it’s the Lord who has transformed my heart, but it was first the invitation from a FOCUS missionary. I am so convicted of the mission of FOCUS because it has changed my entire life and I long for everyone I encounter to experience this deep communion of love that they are made for.

Saint Therese of Lisieux said “Some give by going to the missions; others of by giving to the missions. Without both there is no mission.” I thank you in advance for your love, support, and prayers.
