We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am so excited that God has called me to serve the college students at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point! This year is the first year this campus will have FOCUS missionaries. I received my undergraduate degree in Nursing at Minnesota State-Mankato, and even though I am moving from my home state of Minnesota, I am looking forward to my new role & serving the students in the state of Wisconsin.
If you’re ever curious about how I am here now, don’t hesitate to reach out!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is that students and those that I know understand how worthy & loved they are.
I converted to the Catholic faith when I was a freshman in college. I hadn’t grown up going to church often & had felt like there was more for me than the way I had been living. During my freshman year, I had met one of my best friends who desired to know me & continually pursued me with invitations to be in friendship with her. Often in the same way Jesus pursues us.
I began going to her bible study, I was learning how to pray, I attended FOCUS’s SEEK conference with my school, & ultimately met Jesus in the Eucharist. After that, I began to become involved at our Newman Center in women’s ministry & campus ministry. I have had the opportunity to walk with my friends through their faith journeys & seen the deep impacts & transformations within them & others who I have met over the last four years. In that time, I had to honor of sponsoring two of my good friends as they were welcomed into the Catholic church!
Jesus spent his time here on earth in relationship with those around him, especially in his ministry with his disciples. He humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I hope to continue to be constantly amazed by the different souls we get to encounter on campus.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission work.
Everyone has their own call to live out mission and love others uniquely. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have said, “yes” to be with me & help as I serve on campus.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment to meet with you! Without mission partners, we wouldn’t be able to serve these students & I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
