God has called me in a very specific way to serve on a college campus. I will be returning for my second year this fall to encounter students at Eastern Washington University! In my free time, you’ll typically find me hanging with friends, in the outdoors – skiing, hiking, camping, hammocking – at my favorite coffee shop, or playing/watching sports! It has been a great gift to get involved with the athletic department at EWU and I cannot wait to continue my investment in athletes this coming school year. The community at Eastern is a great blessing, and it is a joy to see it grow. This year, we have two new missionaries joining our team! I am so excited to continue this adventure with the Lord at Eastern Washington!! Go Eagles!

I grew up in a large Catholic family, attending Catholic school as part of an amazing community. Once I reached college at the University of Utah, I floundered in the waves of the unknown and a very unique religious culture. Searching for a Catholic community, I found the Newman Center. Through examples and relationships with peers and missionaries, the Lord revealed His deep love and mercy to me. In a new place, away from family, friends, and familiarity, I found my home in Jesus. The FOCUS missionaries invested in me with intentionality and companionship that I hadn’t experienced before. As I attended bible studies, coffee shop hangs, the sacraments, adoration, and discipleship meetings, I found myself desiring deeper relationship with Jesus and felt a call to share His love with everyone. This call deepened through FOCUS, and I made the decision to surrender my post-grad plans to the Lord.

Embarking on this mission, my deepest hope is to lead college students to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My own life has been transformed by His love and friendship.  He is the one who saves, and I am humbled to enter into this mission to minister to His children. In imitation of Christ I will set out to lead with service, love, and humility. As Jesus himself invested intentionally in His disciples, so also do I wish to invest in students and walk with them on their journey towards a deepening of faith and relationship. The Lord has blessed me abundantly through encounters with individuals by whom I am constantly amazed and inspired.

Part of answering the Lord s call to join FOCUS was the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners who help me along this mission. Ours are the hands and feet that walk the road alongside the students, but it is only with the spiritual and financial support of mission partners that we are able to commit our full selves to serving the Lord.
