We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased (Luke 4:22b).”
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).”
By the Lord’s will, I was sent to the University of Akron! Below is a picture of our team on placement day. Go Zips!
When I arrived at Ohio Northern University for college, I was searching for the truth around every corner. Luckily, Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life!” After my high school years, I was not living my faith well but living in sin and without joy. As I started to respond to Jesus’ call throughout college, I started to live and love more like Him by praying daily and leading others towards Him. My junior year, FOCUS missionaries came to our campus; they started to pursue me just as Jesus pursues all of us! And from there, our community began to transform as students started coming to be with our Lord in prayer and the sacraments. Two years later, there is a healthy group of young men and women responding to Christ’s call to follow Him! I watched as this transition occurred and observed the awesome results, so I joined FOCUS to “make disciples of all nations” as Jesus calls us.
As I join Christ in His work of salvation, I hope to give to the students at Akron the love that was given to me! College campuses are in desperate need of the Gospel, and to be freed from the chains of sin and death. By giving generously to my mission and praying for its success, the Lord will hear your cry and pour out the grace needed for the conversion of these students! If you are interested in joining me in this mission, please email me at [email protected], let me know the best way to contact you, and I will set up a time to meet with you. May God bless you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
