We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi, my name is Genni Tucker and I’m a FOCUS missionary on our national staff.
Focus Mission Foundation
God called me first to Catholicism, then “mission” in a radical way after college. I’m an adult convert who has little Catholic community in my hometown of New York City. 8 years after starting my career in development, I moved to Denver to join FOCUS. FOCUS has transformed my faith from ‘personal belief’ to a faith that is lived – not as a student or as a missionary on campus, but as a working adult and mother at our Denver Support Center. FOCUS staff have been the first young, authentic, and on-fire Catholics I’ve met on my spiritual journey and the formation we receive in the course of our employment is deep and lasting. Most importantly, it is coupled with daily access to the sacraments. Jesus is down the hall from my office! FOCUS has helped me see not only my vocation, but my daily work in mission development operations as sanctifying and the team I manage as my mission field. Little by little, He has changed my life.
In choosing to devote my life to mission while raising a child as a single mom, I made a decision to entrust our materials needs to the Lord.
By joining my support team or making a one-time gift, you are allowing me to apply my education and specialized experience in development to the work of saving souls at the most effective Catholic apostolate in the world.
By praying for my mission, you are helping me raise a saint and be bold in a community that doesn’t share my faith or worldview.
By becoming a mission partner, you are fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission to us: ‘to go and make disciples of all nations.’
May God bless you in your generosity and return it tenfold!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
