What Groups of People Are Not Represented in My Bible Studies?
Fr. Josh Johnson | SLS20
As we strive to fulfill the demands of discipleship, we will certainly encounter many people who are hungry and aware of their need for something more. However, we will also enter relationships with people who are thirsty for more but resistant to Jesus and His Church because of their lifestyles, experiences and brokenness. In this talk, receive practical tools that can help missionary disciples foster an interior prayer life conducive to entering into the mess of other people’s circumstances, along with pastoral tips that can help the disciple be a bridge for their friends to fall in love with Jesus Christ and abide in relationship with His Church.
FOCUS 153 | Intercessory Prayer
In his recent meditation for FOCUS missionaries, Father Joshua Johnson gave a beautiful challenge for us to intentionally and consistently pray, fast and make acts of reparation for the challenges our country is currently facing — the sins of racism, hatred, injustice, violence, vengeance, just to name a few. Indeed, our prayers and sacrifices are powerful ways to help bring about peace, justice and mercy.
