I am serving at Queen’s University Belfast, going into my third year here.

Three years on the same campus is such a privilege, for I have built substantial relationships with the women I’m walking with and a good rapport with the wider chaplaincy community. I have grown to deeply love the hearts of those I encounter here and I have great experience in knowing how to administer the truth to them in a way they can receive.

I was raised in a Catholic family, but never knew how to develop a personal prayer life and how to embrace my faith as my own.

After spending two years in a beautiful community called Holy Family Mission that forms you in your faith and prayer life, I set sail for university.

Unfortunately, there were no FOCUS missionaries on my campus. My time in community prepared me well for university, but I know this is not the case for most students. Thus, I saw the obvious need for missionaries on campus to journey with students and help them grow in relationship with Jesus.

In light of this realisation, I chose to follow God’s call and become a FOCUS missionary.

It has been a joy accompanying students in discipleship, guiding them towards putting Jesus at the very centre of their lives.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
