“It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you and will never fail you or forsake you. So do not fear or be dismayed” ~Deuteronomy 31:8
This is my sixth year serving as a full-time missionary with FOCUS! After serving 3 years as a campus missionary in Boston, I felt like it was time to transition away from campus ministry and start investing in other areas of the apostolate. Concluding 2 years serving FOCUS Alumni, I started with the Mission Partner Development Team as an Events Specialist. My new role is critical to helping our missionaries become fully funded & have the financial freedom to serve with FOCUS for as long as God calls them to this mission!
I grew up in North Carolina and attended NC State University where I quickly became involved in the Catholic Campus Ministry organization. Although we didn’t have FOCUS on my campus, I was very involved in the campus ministry program and met some of my closest friends there. Towards the end of college I got involved serving within the campus ministry and in leadership roles with other student organizations around campus.
Campus ministry became important to me because my freshman year of college was very difficult adjusting to life away from home in addition to some unexpected life changes that happened. There is no way I would have been able to get through that year without the support of my friends, especially those in my campus ministry. Bible studies were a huge part of keeping my faith while in college and giving me a solid community of friends to lean on. I loved leading Bible studies on campus and have grown in my personal intimacy with the Lord through reading scripture.
The summer before my senior year of college, I was interning across the country and felt like I had finally figured out my path post-graduation. Everything was lining up and going exactly according to my plans. That was until someone introduced me to FOCUS. While FOCUS wasn’t part of my plan, I realized how much I had been putting my will above God’s will. Rather than feeling anxious thinking about my future, I finally felt at peace. Joining FOCUS has been one of the best decisions of my life and I love getting to be part of this amazing evangelization organization!
Please join me on this mission! As new missionaries prepare to join FOCUS, many are faced with fear about fundraising for the mission. It is my joy to get to alleviate that tension and help all of our FOCUS Staff be free from any anxiety related to fundraising. I am constantly amazed by the generosity of family, friends, and strangers alike that have kept this mission work possible. I’m excited to continue to share these amazing adventures of mission with more people! I have put my trust in the Lord that He will provide while I am doing missionary work. I ask that you please consider joining my missionary support team in whatever way you can. Please prayerfully consider joining the mission through financial support or through your prayers. You can contact me at [email protected] to set up an appointment to talk about you how you can help continue to invest in the mission of FOCUS and our missionaries.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
