We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
This is my ninth year serving with FOCUS and I serve in Denver with the missions department. In this role I help plan and facilitate mission trips for staff and students so they can continue to encounter Christ in and share the Gospel with the poor. Since joining FOCUS I have been on many different mission trips and each has been truly transformative!
After answering God’s call to serve as a missionary on campus, I discerned a call to continue my time with FOCUS now serving on the missions team. I remember that as a freshman in college one of the things I was most immediately drawn to was the opportunity to serve on a mission trip. Years later when I became a FOCUS missionary I had a very similar experience and signed up for two different trips my first year! My life has been changed through experiences on mission and I find that my heart is moved and drawn towards encountering Christ in the poor. Some of the people who inspire me the most are those who have given their lives to serve the poor and who know the poor by name. I am excited to help facilitate these encounters for students involved with FOCUS on campus. These trips have been a highlight of my time as a missionary so far and I am very grateful to have a direct role in making them possible!
As you read my story, I hope that you too were drawn to reflect upon our call to love the poor among us. I pray that you will consider partnering with me on this mission because I cannot do it alone. Your prayers and support are vital to my success and you need to know that. Truly, I cannot succeed in this mission without you. Your generosity will reach many souls for Christ, more than you or I may ever know. I am so excited about this work and I hope that you are too! Thank you in advance for your yes to partner with me and for your support- it will not go unnoticed.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
