Kyle Hanson

Ever since I left my job as an engineer to join FOCUS staff in 2014, God has been using me to strengthen His Church by reaching His people. Both on campus and in parish work as a missionary, I have had the privilege of seeing many young people’s faith come alive through small group Bible study and discipleship relationships. These young people will go on to answer God’s call for their lives, “on fire with a desire to give Him souls…first of all [their] own, then an incalculable number of others.” – St. Alphonsus Ligouri

Where We serve

God has called me to serve parishioners with the men’s apostolate of Esto Vir in the Diocese of Green Bay. In parishes sacramental numbers are down across the board, 80% of Catholics lose their faith by the age of 23 and most of those decide to leave by the age of 13. Something must change in our parishes! In focus we believe we have a solution. In one word it would be relationships.

Our Story

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead people to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus in many ways and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly by what people do when they’re inspired by Jesus’s vision for our lives.
