” Without the Gospel, man remains a dramatic question with no adequate answer” – Saint John Paul the Great
I graduated from James Madison University and am so excited to be serving at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA!
Let’s be real: college is hard. Going into my freshman year, I knew I may struggle academically, socially, and emotionally. What I could not have expected was a global pandemic that would turn my world upside down. When Covid-19 hit, it gave new meaning to the phrase ” We make plans, God laughs” in my life. Yet, God was ready to meet me in this. I encountered Jesus’ merciful and abounding love through Christ-centered community and friendships. Even though there was much suffering during my time in college, my faith gave it meaning and allowed me respite. While my life is not where I had planned it, I can confidently say that it’s much better than I could have ever imagined with God’s love guiding me. Now, He has called me to share this same love with students at the University of Pennsylvania! I would love to meet with you to share more about my story and the Lord’s plans for bringing students at Penn to Him!
“Some give by going to the missions. Others go by giving to the missions. Without both, there are no missions. “
-Saint Teresa of Calcutta
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
If you are interested in being with me on this mission, hit the button below that says “Support Annaliese,” please let me know of the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission of hope with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
