Hey there! I’m Megan and I’m a missionary at Colorado State University! Go Rams!
“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness.” -JPII
The Lord has given me the great gift of returning to Colorado State for my second year of mission! He knows my heart even better than I do and I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect placement. God has done so much on this campus in the past year and I am so excited to continue encounter the students in Fort Collins alongside my incredible team this year! Please pray for us and all of the students on Colorado State’s campus.
Living in the freedom of my true identity as a daughter of God is life changing, but it took me a long time to realize this. For the longest time I placed my identity in just about anything and everything you could image — school, sports, social life. Time and time again, this left me feeling completely worthless. It wasn’t until I moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend grad school at CU Boulder that this all changed.
The Lord very intentionally and beautifully used my time in Boulder to break down walls in my heart, draw me close to Him, and reveal to me the truth about my daughterhood. Through authentic friendship and the model of true freedom from the community at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center and the FOCUS missionaries at CU Boulder, I encountered God’s unfailing love and found freedom in my identity as His beloved daughter. As a missionary my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ so that they can experience this same freedom!
In saying “yes” to God’s invitation to pursue Him and others through being a missionary with FOCUS, I willingly made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. We, as missionaries, could not do what we do without you. It is our honor to be the hands and feet of this mission, but it is through your prayers and financial support that you are the heartbeat.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please reach out! I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
In Christ,
Megan Ellery
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
