We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I will be returning to South Dakota Mines as a 2nd year missionary!
Having lived in four different states by my junior year of college, I had never been able to feel that I had a true home. I joined the Wayne State College rugby team in hopes for a fulfilling sisterhood and sense of belonging, but still felt that something was missing. Despite winning a national championship, the best thing to come out of it was my bestie/roomie/teammate inviting me to community nights and student mass. She introduced me to a FOCUS missionary, who then invited me to the SEEK23 conference. I was very hesitant to go, but then I heard that Ben Rector was performing at the conference and was therefore convinced. It was there during Eucharistic Adoration that I had a deep encounter with Christ and felt the call to follow Him.
I decided that I wanted to surrender my life to Jesus, which turned out to mean stepping down as captain and quitting the rugby team so that I could better surround myself with the new friends of mine who were also striving to live a virtuous life in Christ. It was in the Wildcat Catholic community that I finally felt home! Since then, my life has been completely transformed by the Lord, and I have come to realize many things to be grateful for in this beautiful life. God is so incredibly good and being Catholic is awesome.
When I said “yes” to FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this journey. Without your help, I would not be able to serve so many students who are in need of Christ’s love. I need many partners on this mission and would love for you to be one of them! If you would be interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
