We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
– St. Augustine of Hippo
This is my first year as a missionary and I get to serve at the University of Passau, Germany!
As part of the tradition I was baptised as a baby and recieved my first Holy Communion in a small German village. When a girl from my neighbourhood invited me to a catholic youthgroup at the age of 12, I did not know, that my entire life was about to change. Her friendship and her gentle guidance through my questions and doubts about God and the Church provided the space I needed to encounter God and the Gospel in a personal and intimate way.
During my time in college I met a new friend, who later became a FOCUS missionary. She reminded me again, that what I encountered in the Catholic Church was meant to go transcend my own life. She showed me, how evangelization is possible during my day-to-day life as a college student.
Because I met Clara and Stefanie, who walked patiently with me in authentic friendship, I was able to encounter the Gospel and after that the great call from the Lord, to share the Gospel and see even more lives changed!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to be fully available on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment.
I’d be honored to share this mission with you!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
