“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.”
John 15:16
God has called me to serve college students at San José State University! This is the first year that there will be a FOCUS team at SJSU and I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve here!
I became a missionary for two reasons fried chicken and the Lord’s tender pursuit of my heart. Although I grew up Catholic, I always longed to learn more about what it means to live out the faith and who Jesus Christ is to me. After serving in high school youth ministry throughout high school and college, I found myself always going back to old habits after encountering Jesus on a retreat, and placing my identity in things that would never satisfy. Once I transferred to California State University Northridge, I began to able to see the Father’s great love for me through encountering FOCUS missionaries who challenged me to have a personal relationship with the Lord. As for fried chicken, come find me on campus and I would love to tell you the story!
In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you. I look forward to connecting with you! God bless!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
