God has called us to serve at Northern Michigan University! We love living in Marquette and sharing the Gospel with NMU students. It has been an enormous blessing to us to be married on mission, and since welcoming our son, Leo, on August 19, 2020, God has given us the opportunity to share the gift of family life and parenthood with our team and students! It is a great joy to be apart of the 1st FOCUS team at Northern, share the Gospel with our students, and lead the team in mission.  We are blessed to serve on an amazing team and we can’t wait to watch God’s blessings continue to unfold for us in our time at Northern!

We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary this past July, and are thankful that we have spent the entirety of our marriage serving together with FOCUS.

After we both came to know Christ through our time at Benedictine College, Alek’s heart was transformed and convicted for mission through FOCUS discipleship. We got married after Alek’s first year serving as a FOCUS missionary, and Carly was able to give her yes to serving on mission full time for the entire first year of our marriage. Alek is now in his third year of full-time mission, and is the team director at NMU, while Carly is at home taking care of Leo. We have both benefited greatly from giving our time away to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the students at NMU, and we know the Lord has many fruits in store for this year. We know firsthand the power of spiritual multiplication and it is a gift to live it daily and fully within our marriage and family, on our team, and on NMU’s campus.

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. We have been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with us as we serve on campus.
