We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I will be serving at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri for my 2nd-year as a missionary! I’m incredibly excited to be able to meet the students there and be able to spread the gospel to everyone on campus!
In college, I knew my faith was important, but I also could never find myself wanting to take that next step farther into the faith. I tried hanging out with some people at the Newman Center on campus but never found myself able to dive into the community like I would have liked. Because of that, I slowly fell away from my faith and found other clubs and communities that were great but lacked the Catholic aspect I had desired. College became a place of extreme comfort and I was unable to push myself that extra step in my faith until junior year.
After covid hit and went, my friend at Ball State persistently asked me to come to his bible study. After a while of flaking and coming every once in a while, I finally made the commitment to try and go every week. Every study I would learn something new, and he had a great way of keeping me hooked the entire study. He soon asked me to join discipleship where he was able to teach me more and more what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. The Lord lit a flame in me through Christian’s study and friendship that I had never experienced before.
Being able to fully experience the gospel through the friends I made at Ball State truly shaped me into the man I am today and who I’m becoming. Jesus caught a hold of my heart and I don’t plan on letting go. He set a desire in me to walk with the students around me, and if saying yes to FOCUS was the first step, then that’s what I will do.
“The laborers are few, and the harvest is plenty.” God is calling me to serve the students on campus, to share the gospel, and to walk with them through their hardships and struggles. I will strive to bring the joy and love that Christ is wanting to give his children by being his instrument. Will you join me in this walk that He has invited me into?

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
