We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi! My name’s Alexis, and I am a FOCUS Missionary.
“First let a little love find entrance into their hearts, and the rest will follow.” – St. Philip Neri
God has called me to serve college students as a FOCUS missionary. For this upcoming year, I will be at the University of Nebraska Omaha. I am so excited to see what Jesus has in store for the students that I will be encountering!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. During my time at the University of Kansas, my life was radically transformed by Jesus. At the beginning of college, I was searching for happiness and meaning in everything besides Jesus which left me feeling empty and alone. Through invitations and friendship by the FOCUS missionaries on my campus, I began to realize that my current lifestyle would never fulfill me, and that instead, I was made for an intimate relationship with God. Through this communion with Him in daily prayer, the sacraments, and authentic friendship I became filled with joy, freedom, and peace!
After experiencing the transformative love of God, I became convicted of sharing this life-changing message of the Gospel with others. Christ called me to be a full-time missionary, and I am so excited to see the fruit that He will bear through this small yes.
In January, my fiancé, Kyler McGlachlin, will join me on mission at UNO after we get married! We are so excited to invite students into our marriage and be a gift of ourselves.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me for the mission to reach souls for Jesus, please contact me! I would love to schedule an appointment. It would be an honor to answer this calling with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
