We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”

I’m a third-year FOCUS missionary and a Program Director for the International Area.
I met Jesus when I was in high school. At the time, I was going through difficulties in many of my relationships, and modern ideology was leading me way from the faith. In short, I was lonely and confused.
As all this was happening, I joined my youth group at a Steubenville youth conference. During Eucharistic Adoration, I begged Jesus to show Himself to me. I heard Him say, “I see you, I know you, and I love you.”
That moment changed my life. I wanted to know Jesus’ heart and share that love with others.
Fast forward a few years. I graduated with a B.A. in history and vocal performance from the University of Denver, then worked as a test prep tutor. As I built relationships with my students, I saw intense anxiety, depression, confusion about their identity, and spiritual poverty. I wanted to do more for these students. I considered a graduate degree or a teaching certificate, and my mentor suggested joining FOCUS, but I couldn’t choose…
… until a FOCUS missionary invited me to join her support team. I said yes on the spot, and then weeks of prayer and conversation revealed that Jesus was calling me to step onto the front lines with her.
I served on campus at South Dakota Mines in Rapid City for two years. The students amazed me with their hunger for the truth, and it was a blessing to build friendships with them and support them as they were transformed by their relationship with Christ.
Now, as a Program Director for the International Area, I get to support our missionaries in Europe. FOCUS has 30 missionaries on campuses across Ireland, the U.K., Germany, and Austria. I’m excited to support them as they continue this amzing mission.
When I answered the call to become a FOCUS missionary, I made the decision to rely on mission partners for spiritual and financial support. I’m excited for this opportunity to share my mission with others!
It would be a joy to meet with you to share about the mission and vision of FOCUS, and to hear your story! You can reach me at [email protected] .

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
