After serving four years on campus in North Dakota and Washington, God has invited me to continue serving this apostolate as a Regional Director for the West Area! From the FOCUS national headquarters in Denver, I will be working alongside other leaders in the organization to support our missionaries on the ground. The role of Regional Director allows me to form and invest in teams and leaders at the following universities: University of Arizona, University of Utah, University of Nevada – Las Vegas, University of California – Berkeley, Stanford University, San Jose State University, and San Francisco State University.

I have the great gift of leading the team directors and missionaries of these teams to share the life-saving message of the Gospel on their campus. I will work with great fervor and intentionality to ensure that these missionaries and students are known, loved, and cared for along their journey of discipleship with our Lord. This role involves traveling to each of these campuses and being “a missionary to our missionaries” as I equip them to lead hundreds of students to an encounter with Jesus Christ. It is such a gift to serve in this leadership role! I am so blessed to continue to live mission and support the missionaries who work tirelessly to share the Gospel across the west.

My life has been transformed by forming a personal relationship with Jesus, which resulted from my experience with FOCUS as a student at the Colorado School of Mines. While pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, my faith became a checklist item to complete alongside my academics and involvement in a sorority. I knew who Jesus was and about His Church, but I did not truly know Him or his overwhelming love for me. I had not been satisfied and did not know the abundance and happiness I desired.

It was in this place that a FOCUS missionary invited me, little by little, to give my ‘yes’ to Jesus. The missionaries in my life reflected Christ to me every day, and I began to see glimpses of His Heart, in big and small ways. In continuing to say ‘yes’ to Jesus in faith, He provided in abundance – transforming my life and giving me the grace to say yes to the call to be His missionary. It was Him I was seeking all along – and upon finding Him, my life became full. I have now given an even deeper ‘yes’ to continue to serve as a Regional Director in FOCUS – a role where I am invited to give of myself in servant leadership to missionaries and students that we serve. In this invitation, the Lord has called me to bear fruit thirty, sixty, hundredfold – fruit that will last in the lives of our missionaries and the students we encounter for years to come.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ and affirm their identity as beloved sons and daughters of the Father. I came to know the Lord through authentic friendship and joy, and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the beauty of a life lived with Christ. I deeply desire to affirm those I meet that they are seen, known, and loved. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching those souls I have been entrusted to serve. I truly believe lives will continue to be transformed through this mission Jesus has entrusted to us, and I am incredibly blessed and thankful to directly witness all the Lord will pour out in this adventure!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help send me on mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing and generous people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. It is through the kindness and generosity of YOU that I am able to walk with missionaries and students as they discover who they are and the greatness they are made for in Christ.
