We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
The Lord has asked me to serve my first two years as a missionary at Oklahoma State University, alongside the priest who baptized me at the University of Tulsa–Fr. Kerry Wakulich.
I now serve at the FOCUS Support Center, as a Manager of Missions in the Missions department. In this role, I help oversee all the mission trips we send out for FOCUS. My focus is engaging chaplains and campuses to go on mission and helping them to bridge the gap between students on campus and serving the poor. I have been with the Missions department for 5 years now and my favorite part of working in Missions is helping to bring the Gospel to the ends of the world.
I grew up in a Buddhist household but religion was never important to my family and so I was raised with no real knowledge of any religion. The first encounter I had of Jesus Christ was through FOCUS my freshman year of college. My life was so completely transformed by Christ’s love for me that on April 20, 2014, Fr. Kerry Wakulich baptized, confirmed, and gave me First Holy Communion at the University of Tulsa’s Newman Center. The Lord changed my life on a FOCUS mission trip which led me to becoming a FOCUS missionary. If you would like to hear more about my story, please feel free to contact me (my information is below).
My desire for you is that you join me in this mission of the New Evangelization. Your financial contribution is important to me because it allows me to freely extend my hands and my heart to the students I will be serving. I would also ask that you join me in another way: spiritually. I want to bring you along in this journey so that you may see the transformation taking place in these students as they fall deeper and deeper in love with Jesus Christ. I pray that you would be invested in the lives of these students and that, through this investment, your hearts might also be softened to falling deeper in love with Jesus Christ. Please pray for them. Know that they will be praying for you and that I will be praying for you. If you have any prayer requests, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at (480) 262-1073. God bless.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
