We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Sadness is looking at ourselves, happiness is looking towards God.”
Blessed Carlo Acutis
The Lord has called me to serve in Monterrey, Mexico at the University of Monterrey (UDEM). Meet all the missionaries involved with the mission in Mexico! From left to right: me, Priscilla, Chuy, and Alli!
Despite spending much of my childhood around the church, I was unsure of who Jesus Christ was to me. However, being part of a FOCUS bible study allowed me to be surrounded by men who were confident in who Christ was to them. Their confidence and contagious joy sparked a curiosity in me that led to a life of daily prayer. I have found the greatest joy and friend in Jesus Christ! This joy has permeated my life: in prayer, time spent hanging out with friends, and even as I labor. Most importantly, this joy has increased my faith and allowed me to persevere through the challenges
of life.
Discovering this joy has made me realize just how many young adults today struggle to find their joy. That is why I desire to share it with them! Joy that penetrates our life and demands change, change that reveals our purpose, allows us to persevere, and frees us to love!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
