I serve at Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula!

My Story

Both my mom and dad grew up going to church every Sunday with their families and so it was only natural for them to continue to do that as they formed their own family, including me. During middle and high school, I began to be more interested in practicing my faith with the help of my friends at summer camp and youth group. Before college, I knew the name of Jesus and that He was out there somewhere and that He loved me. In college, Jesus spotted me in a crowded room, walked over to me without stopping, introduced Himself, and told me He wants to get to know me. From there, I drew closer to Him through prayer, community, the sacraments, and modeling my life after Church teaching. Now, Jesus is everything to me. And I want Him to be Everything to others.

FOCUS missionaries have been present all throughout my college experience and were a great model of faith to me. As I was discerning what to do after college, my nonnegotiable was my relationship with God. The seed was planted when three missionaries told me how going on mission impacted them tremendously and from then on, it was what I wanted to do with great excitement and passion.

Mission is a gift and I am so blessed to be living it out full-time.
