We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am SO excited that God has called me to serve college students at Boise State University for another school year! You can typically find me at the local coffee shops (Java and the Human Bean are my favorites), Bronco Catholic Center, or hanging out around campus. It is such a gift to be sharing life with these incredible students and walking with them towards sainthood!
“Be who you are, and be that well” -St. Frances de Sales
I grew up Catholic: going to mass on Sundays, taking faith formation classes as a kid, being involved in youth group as a middle schooler/high schooler… but it wasn’t until my freshman year of community college that I joined my first Bible study at my local parish, and began to mature in a greater love of the mystery and depth of our Catholic faith. I began to understand the true presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, the distinction between the members of the Trinity, and how God is such a good and loving Father. When I transferred colleges, I met a FOCUS missionary (shout-out to Tabitha!) who began to walk with me in my curiosity and love of the faith and show me that it wasn’t just about believing and knowing about God, but that He actually desires to have a personal and intimate relationship with each of us. Because of this, I realized the importance of daily encounter with Christ, and began setting aside time in my schedule to pray and going to daily mass, to eventually leading a Bible study and leading other girls to Jesus! The more I strove to place Christ at the center of my life, the more my little “yeses” to the Lord turned into a big “yes” to mission, and I began to feel the strong call to share the truth with others as a FOCUS missionary!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is for the students at BSU to deeply know Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy, hope, and freedom to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel! Through genuine friendship and intentional discipleship, I look to Jesus own example of deeply investing in a few in order to reach the world!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. As St. Mother Teresa once said, “Some give by going, others go by giving. Without both, the mission does not exist.” It’s such a gift that my supporters get to impact the mission work I will be doing on campus through our partnership!
If you are interested in joining my support team, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you! Please feel free to contact me at (858)-243-0341 or [email protected]
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
