I am now serving in my third year as a missionary and have joined the FOCUS Missions department where my new role is a missions specialist.  It was a FOCUS mission trip that transformed my heart to serve and give of myself. Now in my new role I will help equip and train missionaries to lead mission trips that will transform the hearts of so many others. 

Throughout my years in college I have experienced amazing things fostered by FOCUS missionaries and the faith activities at the Newman Center on campus. I have been blessed to participate in three separate mission trips to Peru to help serve the poor. I have attended a FOCUS SEEK conference and a FOCUS SLS conference where a fire has been put on my heart to share the Faith and the Love that Jesus has for all of us. These experiences have helped me grow in my own faith journey, and have helped me experience the deep sacrificial love that Jesus has for all, not only on college campuses but all over the world. I look up to St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta because of her desire that each person know the love that God has for them, to know that in their darkness He is the light that guides their heart. Mother Teresa wrote a letter to her fellow Missionaries of Charity called “I Thirst”. In this letter she descries the DEEP Thirst that God has for each soul. Reading this letter was a call to me to become a FOCUS missionary and to be a vessel for the Lord so that He may use me to share His endless love. 

 “I THIRST FOR YOU. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe My love for you.I THIRST FOR YOU. I thirst to love you and to be loved by you. So precious are you to Me that I THIRST FOR YOU.  Come to Me, and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make you a new creation and give you peace even in your trials.”
