We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“You were not made for comfort, you were made for greatness!”
— Pope Benedict XVI
For five years I had the honor to serve as an on campus missionary at three universities: UCLA, the University of Southampton in England, and the University of Idaho. The mission to spread the gospel continues in my role as Project Manager serving FOCUS Alumni. I help to plan events and other projects for our over 2,000 staff alumni and the over 50,000 former students who were involved with FOCUS on campus.
In January of my junior year at college, an invitation from Vincent to join a men’s group changed my life. The intellectual obstacles to the faith were obliterated, as I discovered there were answers (really deep and profound answers) to my questions. The next semester FOCUS arrived at my campus and I met John, one of the FOCUS missionaries. He not only led a Bible study and helped me form a daily prayer life, but he became a close friend. His example inspired me. As I prayed for direction from the Lord about what to do once I finished college it became clear through spiritual direction that Jesus was calling me to spread the gospel so I applied for FOCUS.
I am grateful for the 5 years I served on campus seeing lives transformed by God, and I am excited to see Him continue to work in my role serving the 20,000+ FOCUS Alumni.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. It has been amazing to witness the generosity of God through His people. I raise 100% of my ministry budget.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain…”
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
